Multi-talented Quadriplegic
I am a graphic design coach and website designer.. I was 22 when a motorcycle accident rendered me quadriplegic. I was paralyzed from the chest down. From being the family’s breadwinner, I became dependent to my parents who are both senior citizens for all of my activities and sustenance.

I enrolled at Virtualahan, Spectrum’s sister company to reskill and upskill. I am now an expert growth marketing specialist and web designer at Spectrum.

My income helped me to be the breadwinner of the family again.

The Gritty Hemophilia Fighter
My life has been a relentless battle against Hemophilia, an incurable bleeding disorder. I was diagnosed when I was just 2 years old. Hemophilia has made it hard for me to work in regular office settings. Still, despite the challenges posed by this condition, I am a tough warrior, armed with skills, grit, and ambitions that fuel my determination to succeed. At Virtualahan, Spectrum’s sister company, I found empowerment through education and skill development. With a flexible schedule and tailored-fit goals, I can stand out in a community that treats everyone equally. My strengths lie in driving business growth with effective marketing, optimizing search engine visibility through SEO, and creating compelling content. Spectrum helped me to put my skills into practice. ​

The Outstanding 4th Grader
I completed just third grade. Both of my legs are not functional due to polio which prevented me to go to school unassisted. For my daily sustenance, I was dependent on a small pension of my deceased parents.

I completed the Virtualahan skills training using a borrowed laptop. I was hired at Spectrum as a quality analyst for a data annotation team.

My employment is a redemption of 40 years of unproductive existence. Before, I spent my day watching TV, reading, and passersby. Now, I spend my day helping People with Speech Disabilities to better communicate and be more independent.

The Passionate Interpreter
I started experiencing hearing loss at the age of 25 and became hard-of-hearing since then. While I still retain some hearing ability, I wanted to serve my community. I learned sign language interpretation, a skill which I studied for 5 years. My passion was turned into real application when I joined Spectrum. My skill helps talents from the deaf and hard-of-hearing community to be effective at their work and provide for their family. I am also a co-founder of TerpCap, a company that provides accessibility services.

I am a solo parent to a child with chronic disease. Due to my child’s condition, I need a source of income that would allow me to work at home with flexible schedule and with sufficient income. Spectrum provided a perfect opportunity for me.

My battle with bone cancer resulted to an orthopedic disability. Working office-based jobs is a struggle especially with the traffic condition in the Philippines that is not friendly to People with Disabilities. I have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus which causes painful inflammation and fatigue. I can’t keep 8AM-5PM office-based jobs. Spectrum helped me to transform my skills into livelihood by providing work at home job with flexible schedule. I was also given opportunities to upskill. Spectrum offered me opportunities to be certified by the a giant tech company on Data Analytics where I scored 100% in all assessments.
